Our production of pearl jewelry (what and how do we do it, how to choose the right size?)

We are often asked questions about the details of the jewelry we make and because of that, we want to share with you some of those details which may be important when making a purchase decision.

How do we measure the length of necklaces and bracelets?

The length of necklaces and bracelets is given together with the clasp as if it were closed. It is exactly the length that will be after putting on the jewelry. First of all, it is simply the real and most adequate size that is easiest to measure. Providing only the length of the pearls would introduce the need to set an additional parameter, as the length of the fastener, which can be different depending on its type.

An important aspect!

It should be borne in mind that the larger the diameter of the pearls, the slightly longer the length so that the visual and functional effects remain. The inner diameter of the necklace around the neck will decrease the larger the pearl. This may not be a very big change, but it may ultimately affect whether we will be able to clasp the jewelry. Maybe not so much in the necklace where we usually have greater tolerance, but more likely in the bracelet. For this reason, the standard length of small and medium pearl bracelets is 19cm, and larger than about 9-10mm already 20cm, although after putting on it will be similar. The same goes for the necklace, where with small pearls a necklace with a length of 42cm can end at the same height as necklaces made of large pearls with a length of 45cm. There is nothing to worry about. If the length has been incorrectly selected, simply send it back to our jewelry with an annotation and length change. The change itself will be made for free, and the possible cost will only result from the additional pearls used for the extension. If the necklace is shortened, the cost will be refunded if it is the standard length available in out store.

Ring size

When it comes to rings, there are no major problems. These are standard sizes given in all jewelry stores. Fun fact, majority of men know very well which ring size their partner is wearing and it happens that ladies themselves do not always remember :) Of course you can do it by measuring, for example, the thread around the finger and then check it’s length, but this is a vague method. It's definitely better to go to a jeweler or goldsmith, ask for universal sizes and check on the spot. Gentlemen can secretly borrow their partner's ring for a moment and ask for it to be measured in the salon or at the goldsmith ;) When choosing a ring with a wide rail and an extended mesh, it is always worth choosing a size by matching it up, e.g. having a size of 13.5 choose 14. You must also keep in mind (Ladies know rather very well) that cold hands have a much smaller thickness of the finger, and this difference can be up to several sizes in comparison with warm and tired hands after a whole day.

What changes can we make?

Length change

We mostly make our jewelry on site, so we have a lot of possibilities in the field of changes you can make. First of all, the length of the necklace and bracelet. Standard necklaces are made in three lengths: 42, 45 and 50cm. However, there is no problem if you need other lengths. Contact us before ordering and we will first check if we still have the right amount of pearls. If so, we will make any
necklace for you or suggest something similar. The same will happen with bracelets where their standard length is 19 or 20cm, although sometimes you need a different one.

Color change

In necklace and bracelets, a change in the color of pearls is most often associated with a change in the quality of pearls. We have a lot of pearls in our warehouse, but because each cords are color-matched, they have the same quality only to such extent. Different pearls will be of different quality. With a large selection, it is sometimes possible to choose a virtually identical quality, but most often it will be slightly better or worse. Therefore, the price may vary slightly or may not be available in a similar range.

The situation is different with small jewelry such as rings, earrings or a pendant. Here, a change in the color of the pearl does not affect its price, because it is always of the same high quality.

In many cases, even if this is not listed on the page, we have the option of exchanging the pearl for another.

Most pearls are available in white, salmon, pink, gray and dark. If you are looking for a specific color, please contact us. After checking the availability of pearls we will look for a pattern that will suit it.

Changing the size of the ring

Available sizes are described for each ring in the specification. In these sizes you can order the ring immediately. However, if you can't see your size, please send us a request. In some cases we are able to make a different size.

Change of clasp

You can change the clasp as you like in every classic necklace and bracelet. Since this will also often affect the price, please contact us first to arrange the details.
